Bicycles and motorcycles moved from entrance 1085 of W&N building

From 1 February, it will no longer be possible to park your bicycle or motorcycle at entrance 1085 of the Maths and Sciences (W&N) building.

The bicycle racks and motorcycle spaces will be moved to entrance 1087. The concentration of bicycles at entrance 1085 makes it difficult for visitors and the emergency services to gain access to the W&N building. For this reason, the bicycle racks and motorcycle parking spaces will be relocated to entrance 1087. The parking spaces for motor vehicles and heavy goods vehicles will also be relocated.

This relocation work will begin in the third week of January. From 1 February, bicycles and motorcycles will be parked at entrance 1087 in the designated racks and parking spaces. Please take heed of this new arrangement and park your bicycle or motorcycle at the new location from that date.

In 2009, VU University Amsterdam created new bicycle parking facilities next to the Main Building. In the course of 2010, the university will renew and expand the bicycle parking facilities at its other buildings where necessary.
