New student information software and a new student portal

VU University Amsterdam will operate with a new student information software. This will causes several changes. The most important change for students is the launch of a new student portal, VUnet.

All data from the current system need to be transferred to the new VUnet system before it can be fully operational. This means that normal services will be limited from 28 February to 28 March 2011. The limitations may vary by faculty.

For the Faculty of Earth and Life Sciences this means that from 28 February to 28 March:

  • Registering or deregistering for programmes is not possible (can be repaired at a later date);
  • Marks cannot be entered (but  will be entered retroactively);
  • Issuing diplomas and tuition refunds follows other procedures;
  • TIS registration for courses is possible till 14 March 2011.

From the 28th of March on VUnet will be in use, which will be announced by then.
