Minors Faculty of Earth and Life Sciences
Broadening your outlook
Minors consist of 30 credit points, and are taken alongside a student's main course of study. Minors enable students to broaden the scope of their educational programme to fit with their interests. At the faculty we offer what are referred to as 'disciplinary' minors and 'thematic' minors. There are eight minors available to study in English, seven disciplinary and one thematic.
Disciplinary minors
These are open only for third year students in the field of Health and Life sciences like Biology, Biomedical sciences or Health Sciences. We recommend to students who have no previous knowledge in the field of the minor they choose to study, to read some of the first and second year literature in the subject before they start.
The disciplinary minors are:
- Evolutionary Biology and Ecology
- Biomedical Topics in Health Care
- 5 Big Issues in Health
- Stress, Health and Disease
- Biomolecular & Neuro Sciences
- Topics in biomedical sciences
- Biomedical and health interventions
Thematic minor
- Brain and Mind
This minor is open for all students regardless of their major discipline.
