Dinosaur tracks in Yemen
While dinosaur bones can tell a lot about the shape and size of the
animal, we need fossilized trackways, as fossilized behaviour, to learn
about less tangible details of dinosaur life, such as herding behaviour,
walking speed, and biomechanical issues. Palaeontologist Anne Schulp
(Natuurhistorisch Museum Maastricht) will speak about dinosaur tracks,
with special emphasis on the recent discovery and excavation of the
tracks of a herd of eleven dinosaurs in Yemen.
