Expertise

Martine de Vries studied Mesopotamian Archaeology at Leiden University. After finishing het studies, she took a teaching degree in social science. Currently she is writing a PhD thesis on the use of iron oxide rock materials in Mesopotamia in the Middle Bronze Age. In her thesis Martine combines both archaeological, geological and philological data.
